Construction Health & Safety
As a contractor or shop fitter you will need to have a company Health and Safety Policy and from time to time your projects may need site specific Method Statements and/or Risk Assessments writing for individual activities.
If you are a Principal Contractor on a CDM2007 notifiable project then you will need to write a Construction Phase Health and Safety Plan.
Furnells Chartered Building Surveyors have a wide range of experience in writing Health and Safety Policy documents and carrying out risk assessments of construction activities and producing site specific method statements.
We also help contractors with day to day Health and Safety issues and assist them obtain accreditation to CHAS, Safe Contractor, Contractor Plus, Considerate Contractors and other industry schemes.
We are increasingly being instructed by construction project clients and contractors to undertake Health and Safety audits at regular intervals on construction sites. This record of audits provides invaluable feedback to allow Health and Safety issues to be addressed immediately. In addition it can be used as documentation to demonstrate ongoing improvement of health and safety awareness which is often required by many of the construction Health and Safety Accreditation Schemes.
